Materials Coordinator
responsibilities:
- Ensures that materials comply with plans, contract specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Prioritizes material delivery schedules and works with the construction management team to ensure critical materials have sufficient lead times to meet project needs.
- Expediates materials to prevent scheduling conflicts.
- Tracks materials through the use of bills of material, purchase orders, drawings, certification records, serial numbers, material test records, heat numbers, packing slips, and other tracking mechanisms.
- Recieves, inspects, and signs off for materials delivered to the site.
- Ensures that the correct number and type of undamaged goods are delivered by comparing the delivery to the bill of lading.
- Communicates with common carriers when damaged goods are delivered.
- Documents deviations and exceptions appropriately while informing the Chief Inspector of any issues.
- Maintains proper paperwork to track materials can be tracked throughout the entire process.
Requirements:
Experience:
• Required: 2 years of oil and gas construction inspection or other related experience
• Preferred: 4 years oil and gas construction inspection or other related experience
Licensing/Certification:
• Preferred: OSHA 10-Hour Card for construction (1926)
Equipment:
Required: Cell phone, computer, 50' tape measure, vernier caliper PPE - FRC ("Brownfield"), impact protection gloves, hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety boots, high visibility safety vest.
