Chief Inspector

responsibilities:

• Directs and coordinates the Company’s inspection activities during construction to support the Contractor's schedule and work activities.
• Reviews and understands alignment sheets, plans, blueprints, specifications, and construction methods to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Confers with inspection staff and the contractor to resolve violations, complaints, or conflicts.
• Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and directives, and confers with inspectors and the project team to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered.
• Assigns or delegates responsibility for specified work or activities and disseminates contract requirements to inspectors.
• Gives work directions to inspection staff, resolves problems, monitors schedules, and progress to facilitate the timely completion of work. Monitors inspection staff for competency.
• Drives training of inspectors in all aspects of the job, including inspection, construction document reading, inspection documentation, material documentation, environmental requirements, land stipulations, and non-destructive testing processes.
• Evaluates premises for safety, participates in daily tailgate meetings, and enforces Company safety programs.
• Coordinates activities of functional department with related activities of other functional groups to ensure efficiency and economy.
• Monitors and verifies cost reports provided by the Contractor. Prepares reports and records on construction activities for management using a computer.
• Implements procedures and practices to accomplish project objectives. Identifies issues or constraints that may affect the schedule or budget and provides recommendations for resolution.
• Monitors documents and deliverables to ensure they are complete and in compliance with contract requirements.
• Manages document transfer and handovers.
• Monitor compliance with safety policies and procedures and establish a zero-injury mindset on-site.

Commitment to Work Planning and JSA process. 5. Drive safety cultural improvements through: • Actively listen to and genuinely care for employees and contractors • Motivate all workers through recognition of positive behaviors and accepting feedback when approached • Deliver a consistent message, focusing on safety • Follow through on gaps, feedback, findings, and suggestions • Engage and make connections with workers, and reinforce the message that anyone can STOP work

Requirements:

Experience: • Required: 8 years of oil and gas construction inspection or other related experience • Preferred: 10 years of oil and gas construction inspection or other related experience Licensing/Certification: • Preferred: OSHA 30-Hour Card for construction (1926) Equipment, Cellular wifi hub (Williams will provide reasonable access to reliable Internet) • Required: Cell Phone, Computer, PPE – FRC (“Brownfield”), impact protection gloves, hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety boots, high visibility safety vest
